for the uninitiated - hi, i'm knuxify! you'll probably see me talking about tech, music i listen to or the occasional thing i make. you can find out more by visiting my website.

met gala? more like wet gala *the entire place is instantly flooded with water*
no clue what the default serif font in windows is but it is kinda bad imho
my page looks awful with it, at least
i could listen to the new osquinn album but it's too depressing for me to just put it on loop
it will, however, make a fine addition to my "listening to sad music makes you sad" playlist

you know what i usually didn't want to post on social media though, funnily enough? jokes, shitposts and random thoughts. for one, i am bad at them. for two, they usually have a target audience that's somewhere in my followers list but it always ends up resonating with the wrong people
technically, it'd actually make the most sense for me to move tech stuff from here to, say, fedi, and move everything else to here

i did all my earlier digital art on my 3ds but for a more advanced drawing like this one i'd much rather use a program with proper canvas resizing support

reply to thought #1631859808: i really wish last.fm had an option for merging two artists together. like, i have 3000 plays for p4rkr (because quinn didn't change her name on spotify) but only like less-than-1000 for osquinn i could just automate it move all of my p4rkr plays over to osquinn with last.fm's api, but that doesn't feel fair ...why do i care so much about looking cool on last.fm anywayssee previous post
Sep 17, 2021 - 8:23AM #1631859808
i mean there's some point in it at least, i'm definitely in the top ~100 or so of p4rkr listeners on last.fm, and on place 15 of fmbot's .fmgw. that's only for p4rkr specifically, for osquinn i have 800 plays

technically i could do something like that but it'd require me to get some kind of screen capture software or do everything in a vm, and i feel inclined to do all of this on real hardware for authenticity reasons
i don't have a hdmi capture card, but perhaps i should get one

speaking of threads, i was wondering if i wouldn't be able to abuse the "new file" functionality to add thread subpages. then again i don't want to take up too much space on thoughts.page's servers

markdown test
test 1
hmm, there is an api, at least for deleting, but it's not documented anywhere. could it perhaps have a proper posting method?
...hmm, nah. this is fine
oh nice
does markdown still work or is it parsed browser-side or whatever
oh nice, it works! let's test out with some fancier characters then
python cmdline poster test
oh hey, image embedding from external sources works. anyways this is my clementine setup
not like anyone will read this anyways lol
*image uploads, not screenshots. not like i used it anyways
but threeeeeads. sorry i complain so much i know it's dumb for me to join a service and start complaining about it the moment i go there but threeeeads
y'know, this reminds me - i had a quiet account on fedi way back in the day, where i didn't follow anyone and i didn't post anything publically. having all of the regular social media goodies like screenshots while getting none of the same interaction was very refreshing
i'm very much willing to do this again, i've gotten burned out honestly
i was going to say "also rss feeds would be nice" then i realized that the more ideas i have for this the more i realize i'm trying to turn it into social media which is Not Intended, Actually
probably easier to just re-do this in python lol
well, it turns out i just had to put the post data in --data... who wouldve guessed
test 2
...yeah my thoughts look kinda incoherent without threads lmao
...nope, trying to make a request with curl just returns "not found" every time for some reason. i passed the session_id as a cookie so idk what's going on
i wonder if i could make a script to post from the command line. that'd be awesome
i partially stole the css from dithernet haha
admittedly it's kind of a shame that there's no thread feature. i often tend to pick up on something after i post something else, it's a habit i've developed on regular social media
...adding that would probably reduce the minimalism though
i wonder how newlines are formatted internally
i need to know for theming purposes
tbh i was thinking about something basically like this. social media gets tiring sometimes yknow
